Chilime Hydropower posts net profit of Rs 55.92 crore in Q2; EPS at Rs 32.44

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) has earned net profit of Rs 55.92 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2073/74. The profit of the hydropower company has slightly dropped in this quarter. The profit figure stood at Rs 56.17 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. As per the unaudited financial statement published today, the hydropower company’s income from electricity sales increased meagerly to Rs 65.42 crore from Rs 64.25 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Its interest income has dropped to Rs. 1.69 crore from Rs. 4.08 crore in second quarter. Chilime’s reserve fund has increased to Rs. 4.52 arba in the second quarter, up from Rs. 4.34 arba in the corresponding quarter. Its annualized Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at Rs 32.44, P/E ratio at 25.19 times and net worth stands at Rs. 231.33 per share.
