Chamber Officials pay courtesy visit to new Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat; urges government to expand tax net rather than levying additional burden to existing taxpayers

Officials from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce has paid a courtesy visit to newly appointed Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat where the officials urged the minister to expand the tax net so as to collect more revenue for the government.

The officials have urged the government to issue compulsory PAN cards with citizenship to bring a lot many individuals under tax law while also urging the government to put a break on the smuggling of goods from open Indian border. Finance Minister Dr. Mahat has promised the officials that the government would take the suggestions seriously, as per the media statement.
