Century Commercial Bank appoints Mr Tulasi Ram Gautam as the CEO; Four Banks still functioning without CEOs

Century Commercial Bank Limited has appointed Mr Tulasi Ram Gautam as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank. Mr. Gautam is not an unknown figure in the Nepalese banking sector. He had worked as the CEO of Machhapuchchre Bank for 4 years. As per the notice published in NEPSE, he will join Century Commercial Bank from Baisakh 19, 2075. The issue for the appointment of CEO of Century Bank has been a hot topic. Mr Anil Shah was appointed as the CEO of the bank initially but after he did not show up, his appointment was revoked by the bank. Mr. Gautam has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and has MBA in Marketing and Finance. Before Machhapuchchre Bank, he worked in SBI bank for 10 years. Although, Century Bank has appointed CEO, Nabil Bank, Mega Bank, Machhapuchchre Bank are still performing without CEO. Recently, NIC Asia has also joined them and is currently without a Chief Executive Officer. The provision of Nepal Rastra Bank for the appointment of CEO within three months of vacancy is still applicable for all the banks
