Cement Manufacturers Appeal to Refrain from Mistreatment of Personnel Based on Allegations

The Cement Manufacturers Association of Nepal has appealed to the concerned authorities to refrain from any legal mistreatment of personnel in the business sector based merely on allegations.

In a media release issued by the Association, it stated that the organization's serious attention has been drawn towards the manner in which the company Maruti Cements Limited, its board of directors, and its staff were wrongly treated.

The association strongly urged that stringent actions targeting individuals in the business based solely on complaints filed for personal benefits are unacceptable.

It asserts that personnel who cannot influence the legal proceedings in any way should not be imprisoned while the investigation is ongoing.

Lastly, the association informed of the prowess that the cement sector has achieved in recent times by becoming completely independent in cement manufacturing and has even begun importing the product. Under these circumstances, the sector should be encouraged rather than treated wrongly.
