Capital Market Index slides by 0.19 points with exceeding turnover of Rs 1.06 arba; Insurance group surges by 275.44

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 0.19 points today (0.01%) to close trading at 1635.56 points.
The stock index opened at 1635.92 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. Over 15.57 lakh units shares were traded today from 9,014 different transactions. The total turnover of the day was Rs 1.06 arba.
Nepal Life Insurance Company limited (NLIC) topped the list of companies today in terms of turnover of Rs 6.87 crore and while Nabil Balanced FundFund-1 (NBF1) remained at the top in terms of number of shares traded i.e 1.15 lakh units.
The best performers for the day were Hamro Bikas Bank Limited (HAMRO), Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) and Himalayan General insurance Limited (HGI) whereas, Reliance Finance Limited (RLFL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly decreased by 0.44 points and 0.2 points respectively.
Hotels, Development Banks, Insurance and Manufacturing & Productions sub-groups landed in green zone whereas Finance, Banking, Hydropower and Others sub-group landed in red zone today. Banking sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 14.36 points whereas Insurance group rises by 275.44 points.
