Capital Market Index rises by meager 2.49 points with turnover above Rs 1.05 arba

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 2.49 points or 0.15% to close at 1662.74 points.
Nepse Index opened at 1660.52 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend during the first trading hour of the day after that it was seen on fluctuating. The total turnover of the day stood above 1.05 arba in which more than 17.79 lakh units shares were traded 8,819 transactions.
Nepal Grameen Bikas Bank Limited (NGBBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 8.55 crore) while Laxmi Value Fund (LVF1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (4.23 lakh units).
The best performer of the day were National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS), Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL), Mirmire Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MMFDB) and World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) hitting 10% positive circuit break while United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went up by 0.8 and 0.2 points respectively.
Sub-indices of Hydropower, Insurance, Manufacturing & Production and others sub-group landed in red whereas Banking, Hotels Development Banks and Finance sub-groups landed in green.
