Capital Market Index dips by 6.22 points with turnover above Rs 91.62 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) fell down by 6.22 points or 0.37 percent to settle at 1661.72 points.
Today, Nepse Index opened at 1667.94 points; however, it rose to 1675.21 points in the first trading hour and after that the index was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood at 91.62 crores in which more than 28.32 lakh units shares were traded with 8,647 transactions.
Citizen Investment Trust Limited (CIT), consequently topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.95 crore) while Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1(SIGS1) was at the top in terms of the number of shares traded (11.63 lakh units)
The best performer of the day was Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL) while Laxmi Value Fund-1 (LVF1) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index weaken by 1.21 points and 0.59 percent respectively.
Except for Hotels and Insurance, all sectors at Nepse landed in red. Insurance sub- group witnessed growth of 8.71 points for the day, while manufacturing &production group decline the most by 25.14 points.
