BOK profit rises by 35.33% in Q3 to Rs 48.04 crore

Bank of Kathmandu has reported 35.33% percent rise in profit in the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2071/72.

According to unaudited financial statement published on Baisak 9, the bank posted a net profit of Rs 48.04 crore, up from Rs 35.49crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year 2070/71.

The bank’s net interest income reached Rs 1.04 arba in the third quarter which is a huge growth of Rs 16.20 crore, compared to the income of corresponding period of previous year.

The bank has garnered Rs 37.86 arba in deposits, up from Rs 29.67 arba reported in the corresponding period last year. Its loan and advances rose to Rs 32.90 arba in the third quarter from Rs 26.10 arba in the same period last year.

BOK’s nonperforming loans (NPL) declined from 1.52% in the Q3 of last year to 1.08% this year. The bank’s CD ratio stands at 77.71%.

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 30.21 and its net worth per share is valued at Rs 190.03.
