Bishal Bazar 34th AGM today; to add Rs 3.96 arba capital on behalf of Government

Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) is convening its 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today (Shrawan 31, 2074). The AGM is being held at Mahendra Police Club, Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu at 11:00 AM. The main agendas of the AGM are:
  • As per the order given by Supreme Court and Patan Appellate Court the company need to change its share structure. Currently, the company has paid-up capital of Rs 5 crore. Now the company required to add Rs 3.96 arba capital on behalf of the government, for this the company is increasing its authorized capital to Rs 4.01 arba. Its paid up and issued capital will also be increased accordingly.
  • To amend article of association and memorandum of association.
Other agendas include endorsement of financial statements of the FY 2072/73 and appointment of auditor. The register of their shareholders was closed from Shrawan 10, 2074 to Shrawan 31, 2074 for the purpose of this AGM. Only those shares traded till Shrawan 9,i.e one day ahead of the book closure date are eligible for participation in the AGM. Bishal Bazaar Company Limited (BBC), one of the oldest supermarkets of the country. The share trading of Bishal Bazaar has been suspended in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) due to an investigation of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on the irregularities of the company.
