Banking Sector is the top loser; Sanima Hydropower was up 19%; Weekly Wrap Up of the NEPSE index

Sat, May 4, 2019 4:02 PM on Stock Market, Weekly Analysis, Featured,

NEPSE index movement:

This week, the index opened at 1293.77 points and closed at 1294.39 points with  0.62 point increment (0.04%). The market slows down this week after the restless up roaring market.

The candlestick chart of the weekly time-period is shown below:

The NEPSE index has formed 6th consecutive bullish candle in the weekly time period. The index had gained 153 points without a minor correction in the last six week.

This week's candle is Dozi with longer head at the upper side. The Dozi was followed by the two-consecutive bullish Marubozu (Marubozu expresses the strong bullish sentiment in the market).

The Dozi after the Marubozu candles illustrate the dwindling strength of the ongoing uptrend. Additionally, the long head of the Dozi on the upper side shows that the sellers in the market had overcomes the strong bullish pressure of the market.

NEPSE Chart Analysis:

This week, the market was opened for four days.

NEPSE started its movement with the positive note, however, the market could resist the upward movement and eventually formed three bearish candles in a row. On the daily time period, the special pattern was not observed.

The decreasing volumes in the market on a daily basis is offering resistance to the upward movement of the market.
