Bank of Kathmandu acquires Kathmandu Capital Market

Bank of Kathmandu Ltd. has formally acquired two thirds majority promoter shares of Kathmandu Capital Market Ltd., a merchant Banking company licensed by Security Board of Nepal (SEBON) under the Security Act, 2007. The Bank has nominated Mr. Chetan Bar Singh Thapa (Chairman), Mr. Mahesh Mishra (Director) and Mr. Deepak Gautam (Director) to represent the bank in the board of KCM. With this the bank is now able to provide various merchant banking services. BOK is currently providing comprehensive banking service through 75 branches, 67 ATM outlets, 8 extension counters and 17 branchless banking touch points with a total deposit base of Rs. 69.15 billion and total loans of Rs. 62.33 billion as at the end of 1st quarter of FY 2017/18.
