MetLife Foundation has provided US$100,000 to CARE Nepal to support relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and surrounding areas.

CARE Nepal and its partners have been distributing emergency supplies, including ready-to-eat food, blankets, shelter materials and hygiene kits, to families affected by the flooding. Relief teams have also been working to reach remote communities despite damaged roads and difficult access.

MetLife Nepal has separately contributed Rs. 30 lakh to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support national relief and rehabilitation efforts.

MetLife Nepal General Manager Nirmal Kajee Shrestha said the foundation's support would help affected families meet urgent needs and rebuild their lives. CARE Nepal Country Director Mona Sherpa also highlighted the role of partnerships in delivering assistance to affected communities.
