Arun Valley Hydropower net profit diminish by 40.63% to Rs 51.04 lakh; EPS & Net worth stands at Rs 2.48 & Rs 111.62 respectively

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has posted a net profit fall of 40.63% percent in the first quarter of the current FY 2074/75. According to the unaudited financial report published today, its net profit after income tax has fallen to Rs 51.04 lakh in first quarter of fiscal year 2074/75 from Rs 85.97 lakh in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year 2073/74. AHPC made an income of Rs 1.10 crore, mainly from selling electricity, by the end of the first quarter, slightly decrease from Rs 1.12 crore in the corresponding quarter. Meanwhile, its income from other sources shrinks to Rs 22.64 lakh in the Q1 from Rs  4.90 in corresponding quarter. The company’s operating profit decrease to Rs 81.77 lakh in Q1 from Rs 1.16 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Its reserve fund has increased from Rs 9.30 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 2073/74 to Rs 9.85 crore in the first quarter of the FY 2074/75. The hydropower company’s net current assets stand at Rs 14.46 crore. Its share Capital remains at Rs 84.81 crore. It had announced 10% bonus shares to its shareholders from the net profit it had earned in the FY 2073/74. After which, paid up capital will reach to Rs 93.29 crore. Its earning per share (EPS) stands at Rs 2.48, its net worth per share at Rs 111.62 and P/E ratio stands at 89.73 times. Click here to see announcement:
