Arun Valley Hydropower earns Rs 85.97 lakh in Q1; EPS mere Rs 4.46

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has reported net profit dropped by 42.23% in the first quarter o the fiscal year 2073/74. As per the unaudited report published by the hydropower company today, the net profit of the hydropower has decreased to Rs 85.97 lakh in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2073/74 compared to Rs 1.48 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. AHPC made an income of Rs 1.12 crore, mainly from selling electricity in the first quarter, declining from Rs 2.15 crore in the corresponding quarter .Meanwhile, its income from other sources rose to Rs 46.90 lakh in the Q1 from Rs 29.13 lakh in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal year. The company’s operating profit has depreciated to Rs 1.16 crore in Q1 up from Rs 1.96 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Its reserve fund has increased to Rs 9.30 crore from Rs 3.05 crore in Q1. The Hydropower Company has made investment of Rs 53.05 crore. Its share Capital remains at Rs 77.05 crore. Its earning per share (EPS) stands at Rs 4.46, its net worth per share at Rs 112.07  and P/E ratio stands at 39.38 times. Recently the hydropower company’s AGM had endorsed to float 3, 157,883 units Further Public Offering (FPO) shares to general public after 10% bonus share issuance.
