Armed Police Inspector Arrested in Dhanusha with Rs. 40,000 Bribe

An Armed Police Inspector named Okil Adhikari was arrested from Lalgadh, Dhanusha with a bribe of Rs. 40,000. The arrest was carried out by a team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Regional Office, Bardibas.

According to the CIAA, Adhikari had been obstructing vehicles used for soil and gravel filling work under the Kamala–Dhalkebar–Bagmati Road Construction project, creating unnecessary hindrances and demanding bribes. Based on a complaint received, the CIAA team had been monitoring him, and he was caught red handed with the bribe money. The CIAA has stated that further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
