Ark smartphones launched

KATHMANDU, Feb 16:

Him Electronics, a sister concern of Golchha Organization, has launched Ark smartphones in Nepal.

Officials of the company unveiled five different models of Ark smartphones at a function held on Friday.

"Ark is a premium Nepali smartphone brand which aspires to deliver technologically superior products in a bid to expand smartphone experience in Nepal," the company said in a statement. "Ark smartphones assure to provide users with an international-standard smartphone experience."

The company has launched Ark Edge A5HD, Ark Icon R45, Ark Icon R40+, Ark Storm K40 and Ark Strom K35+ under three categories -- premium, mid-range and economic.

Ark Edge A5 HD sports a 5-inch HD IPS Screen with OGS, 13MP rear camera with auto flash and 3MP front camera. The phone, which is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 2,000 mAh battery, has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. Similarly, Ark Icon R45 and R40+ have 4.5-inch and 4-inch IPS screen, respectively. Both the models sport 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

Speaking at the program, Shekhar Golchha, managing director of Him Electronics, claimed that Ark smartphones will meet expectations of Nepali smartphone users and help average Nepali to experience and enjoy mobile phone technology. Stating that Ark smartphones are different from other available brands, Golchha said: "Ark will become one of leading major mobile phone brands in the country within a short span of time."

The phones will be available across the country very soon, according to Him Electronics.
