Api Power Company’s 8 MW Upper Naugarh project 30% completed; commercial operation to begin next year

Api Power Company Limited (API) is developing 8 MW Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydropower Project. The agreement was signed on Kartik 12, 2073. Mr. Sanjeev Neupane, Managing Director of Api Power Company said, “We have completed 30% of the Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydropower Project. We are planning to start the commercial operation of the project next year.” The power generated from this project shall be connected to the NEA Balance Substation at 132 KV side which is 7 km away from the company’s proposed powerhouse, added Mr. Neupane. 4 Api Power Company’s 1:2 (200%) right share is in Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) right share pipeline for approval. The amount generated from the right share is supposed be used to develop Siddhakali Power project, a subsidiary project of Api Power and also for the installation of solar projects. Upper Naugarh Gad Small Hydropower Project site is at Darchula, Nepal. The hydropower company has already generated 8.5 MW Hydropower Project in the same river a year back. In addition, the company is also installing a 19.5 MW solar project in various substations of the country as part of a NEA tender. 3 2 Api Power Company Limited has earned Rs 3.45 crore in the second quarter of the FY 2073/74, up from only Rs 84 lakh last year. Its paid up capital currently stands at Rs 1.05 arba.
