After a run of successive losses, market registers a gain of 6.67 points today; life insurance sector gains the most at 1.54%

After consecutively losing for a period of seven trading days, the market today was in the green zone for the whole day and closed gaining 0.57% or 6.67 points. The benchmark index stands at 1177.46 points. The turnover today was of Rs.30.19 Crore which was achieved from trade of 914,239 units of shares traded through 3,093 transactions trading scrips of 148 listed companies in the process.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover and shares traded after 280,624 units of shares were traded posting a turnover of Rs.8.59 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.308 per share.
Hathway Finance Company (HATH) was today’s top gainer after it gained 6.67% or 8 points to close at Rs.128 per share. Today’s top loser was Kisan Microfinance (KMFL) after it lost 3.71% or 37 points to close at Rs.958 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 1.37 points and closed at 249.93 points while Float Index gained 0.53 points and closed at 85.60 points.
Only Manufacturing & Products and Others were among losing sub-indices as they lost 0.57% and 0.01% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices gained points with Life Insurance sector gaining the most at 1.54% or 92.69 points.
