After 5 Days Consecutive Loss, NEPSE Ends Today's Session With 22.75 Points Gain: Finance Sector Gain Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a gain of 1.13%, or 22.75 points, settling at 2,026.81 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 2.73 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,009.05, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,026.82 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,000.36.

With a bustling trading environment, 311 different stocks were exchanged in 64,221 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 11,210,102, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 4.25 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.13 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.84 Kharba.

 

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited Promoter Share (NRICP) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 95.20 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 281.00.

 

Similarly, Five companies hit the positive circuit for today.

 

Conversely, Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited (TRH) faced a decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 792.00.

 

In terms of sector, Two Sector Indices concluded in negative territory, with the "Finance Index" leading with a gain of 5.95%. However, the "Hotels And Tourism Index" witnessed a decline of 0.08%.
