3 hours delay in trading led total turnover amount just Rs 26 crore; maximum trading of NHPC

NEPSE index climbed up by 6.16 points or 0.6 percent to close at 1034.14 level today.
However the 3 hours delay in trading in the secondary market due to power failure in NEPSE has effected in the trading as the total turnover has amounted just Rs 26.37 crore which earlier used to be more than Rs 40 crore.
Altogether only 5.4 lakh unit shares of 118 companies were traded through 1870 transactions today.
After opening at 3 PM today, the benchmark index climbed up meager points and then faced few ups and downs before closing at 6 PM.
Investors were seems inactive today as the trading hour of 3 PM to 6 PM was not favorable for most of them.
Mostly trading were done of commercial banks like EBL, CZBIL, NABIL, HBL, SANIMA and SBI whereas Banking index surged up by double digits of 13.46 points or 1.44 percent to close at 950.85 level.
NHPC stood on the top among the most traded shares where its share price raised by 5.83 percent to close at Rs 127.
SADBL, BFCL, NHPC, HBL, SANIMA and SFL were among the top gainers of the day.
However share price of SUBBL, KMBL, SBBLJ, KCDBL and REDBL plunged maximum today.
Among 9 sub-indices, companies of 8 sub-indices were traded among which Development, HydroPower and Others landed in red whereas Banking, Trading, Hotels, Finance and Insurance gained points.
