3 Highways Blocked by Flood and Landslide, 13 One-Way Roads

When the monsoon is active across the country, floods and landslides have caused problems in traffic operations.
According to the road department, three highways are currently blocked as of 7:30 am, and thirteen highways are operating as one-way roads.
The department reports that a bridge over the Hewa river, part of the Mechi highway that connects Kechana-Chandragarhi-Charali-Ilam-Phidim Ganesh chowk and Taplejung-Olangchung Gola, has been constructed. Consequently, the Mechi highway remains closed and is not operational.
Likewise, the Chatra-Mulghat-Majhitar-Amparpur Danda-Ganesh Chowk route is blocked at Majhitar under the Tamor Corridor, rendering it impassable as well.
Furthermore, the Koshi Highway leading to Rani-Biratnagar, Itahari-Dharan-Dhankuta-Hile, and Leghuwaghat-Tumlingtar-Khandbari-Num-Kimathanka is blocked in Haitar, preventing its operation.
The Mugling-Narayangadh road is now open for traffic, according to the road division in Bharatpur.
However, due to the continued risk of landslides, travelers are urged to exercise caution and travel safely while considering the road conditions.
