1st Trading Day Of 2081: NEPSE Lost 0.11% While Intraday Turnover Stood At Rs. 3.06 Arba; Only Four Sectors Close Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a loss of 0.11%, or 2.35 points, settling at 2,023.35 points at the close of trading today, following a loss of 10.71 points in the previous session.

Opening at 2,025.7, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,031.90 before dipping to an intraday low of 2,017.88.

With a bustling trading environment, 320 different stocks were exchanged in 59,041 transactions. The total volume of shares traded stood at 7,795,023, reflecting a total turnover of Rs. 3.06 Arba. The market capitalization closed at Rs. 32.08 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.81 Kharba.

 

Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 21.47 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 334.00.

 

Similarly, Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SHLB) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by NIC ASIA Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) with a gain of 9.72%.

 

Conversely, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) faced a decline, losing 10% to close at Rs. 2,106.00.

 

In terms of sector, Four Sector Indices concluded in positive territory, with the "Microfinance Index" leading with a gain of 1.91%. However, the "Non-Life Insurance Index" witnessed a decline of 1.03%.
