10 Firms Blacklisted by PPMO for Failing to Meet Contract Obligations

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 10 construction companies and suppliers for failing to fulfill their contractual obligations.

According to a notice issued on Wednesday, five firms have been blacklisted for one year, which are Krishna Construction (Jajarkot), Vijayashwori Nirman Sewa, Behad Baba Nirman Sewa (Kailali), Dinkar Construction (Sarlahi) Lalita Ambay Suppliers (Ilam) four companies for one and a half years which includes Sevika Construction (Surkhet) Lohani & Brothers (Chitwan) Rajendra Nirman Sewa (Kailali) Thegim Construction.

Similarly, one company Om Buddha Construction of Dolakha have been blacklisted for three years. Sevika Construction of Surkhet was penalized in connection with two separate contracts.

The action was taken under Section 63(1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 (2063 BS), based on recommendations from various public agencies. During the blacklist period, the companies will be barred from participating in any public procurement process.
