BIZ BRIEFS: Prabhu introduces Privilege Banking

With an aim to provide even more qualitative and facilitative services for its customers, Prabhu Bank has introduced ‘Privilege Banking’. As per the press statement issued on Tuesday, all customers who have met certain set criteria will be issued privilege card. A separate privilege counter has been set up to facilitate customers holding the privilege card at the bank’s head office in Babarmahal, while such customers will be able to enjoy privilege banking services through the branch managers of other branch offices of the bank. Customers who get the privilege cards will get special facilities, including discount on locker and service charges, and priority in any banking service, among others, adds the statement.
Bajaj’s new offer

Targeting the celebration of Nepali New Year, HH Bajaj has announced an easy down payment of only 20 per cent on the purchase of any Bajaj bike. With the down payment, customers will have to clear the payment in installments over 30 months. Moreover, financing schemes will be available at the showroom itself, as per the press statement. The scheme is available at all the authorised Bajaj showrooms within the Valley. In the eastern region, the scheme is available in Itahari, Gaighat, Lahan, Katari and Mirchaiya. In the central region, it is available in Jaleshwor, Bardibas, Lalbandi, Malangwa, Chandranigahapur and Hetauda, whereas in the western region it is available in Pokhara, Bhairahawa and Butwal. In the mid-western region customers can get the scheme from the Bajaj showroom in Nepalgunj, whereas the far-western customers can get it from Tikapur, the statement adds.
Laxmi’s CSR initiative

Laxmi Bank, Charikot branch on the occasion of its fourth anniversary and as part of its ‘Blood for Life’ campaign organised a blood donation programme recently. The programme was supported by Nepal Red Cross Society, Dolakha Chapter. The programme had a total of 20 donors, including the staff of the bank, as per press release.
SBI on loan growth
MUMBAI:
State Bank of India (SBI) expects loan growth to rise as much as 15 per cent in the fiscal to March 2016, boosted by government auctions for coal concessions and mobile radio airwaves, Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya said on Tuesday. That compares to what is expected to be ‘very, very low’ loan growth of below 10 per cent in current fiscal.
