Womi & Samata Microfinance announce 20% bonus each; Samata to also provide 11.58% cash

Womi Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WOMI) has declared 20% bonus share for its shareholders for FY 2073/74. As per the notice published in NEPSE today, the company’s BOD meeting held yesterday has proposed the said bonus along with 1.108% cash dividend to be distributed as tax for the bonus share.
WOMI’s paid up capital currently stands at Rs 6.48 crore, and after 20% bonus share, its paid up capital will reach Rs 7.77 crore. It had earned net profit of Rs 2.10 crore in FY 2073/74, registering an EPS of Rs 32.41.
Likewise, Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) has also proposed 20% bonus share. It has also proposed 11.58% cash dividend (including tax purpose) from the profits it earned in FY 2073/74. After issuing 20% bonus share, its paid up capital will reach Rs 3.79 crore from existing Rs 3.16 crore. It had earned net profit of Rs 1.40 crore in FY 2073/74.
The decision is subjected to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the companies’ AGMs.
