With turnover of more than 30 Crore; Market closed at 1190.28 points

On the first trading day of the week, NEPSE stood to gain 8.59 points and closed at 1190.28 points marking an increase of 0.73%. Improvement in market confidence can be seen as the turnover for today was Rs.30.25 Crore which was achieved from trade of 960,714 units of shares through 4,242 transactions, trading scrips of 164 companies.

NIC Asia Bank (NICA) achieved the highest turnover with Rs.3.20 Crore followed by Nepal Life Insurance (NLIC) with Rs.2.90 Crore and NMB Bank (NMB) with Rs.2.09 Crore.

NICA, NMB and Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) shares were the top three traded shares today.

The state of today’s top gainer and top loser is as follows:

Sensitive Index saw an increase of 2.01 points while Float Index saw an increase of 0.82 points.

Manufacturing and Production sector lost 0.75 points, Others sub-index lost 1.9 points and Life-Insurance sector lost 1.08 points making them the only losing sun-indices of the today. All the other sub-indices were in the green zone.
