Week ends with slight fall in the market; Minimal Turnover while EIC hits the positive circuit

This week’s market has closed registering a fall of 3.31 points. The market which had started at 1,208.89 closed at 1,205.58 points after fall of 0.27%. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 23.98 crore through trade of 8,27,856 unit shares. Shares of 158 listed companies were exchanged through 3,520 transactions.

Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) was the top stock by turnover as well as by units traded. 89,924 unit shares of the bank worth more than Rs 2.31 crore were exchanged during the day.

The shareholders of Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) gained the most as the stock hit the positive circuit gaining 57 points. It was closely followed by Salt Trading Corporation (STC) which registered gain of 37 points. However, the shareholders of Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) lost the most as the price decreased by 40 points.

Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 0.74 points and 0.31 points respectively.

Among the sub-indices, only Hotels ended in the green zone gaining 0.38 points. Non Life Insurance lost 24.17 point from the day’s trade.
