Weather Forecast: No Immediate Temperature Drop, Possibility of Light Rain in Hilly Areas

The temperature will not drop for a few more days, and light rain is possible in the hilly areas.

Currently, there is a partial influence of western winds as well as local winds in the country.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, this morning the weather is generally clear in the hilly areas of the country with occasional to moderate showers.

Occasional or light rain with thunder/lightning is occurring in one or two places in the Koshi region.

In the afternoon, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly parts of the country.

The division has informed that there is a possibility of temporary or light rain with thunderstorms/lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly areas of the other provinces.

According to the department, there is a chance of temporary or light rain with thunder/lightning in one or two places in the hilly areas during the night.

The department has said that there is no immediate drop in temperature expected across the country. On Thursday, six places in the country recorded temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was 42.6 degrees Celsius in Simra. The temperature in Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhairawa, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi exceeded 40 degrees.
