Volatile trading day leaves NEPSE with loss of 16.26 points; two companies hit the circuit, one positive and one negative

The market today made a low of 1234 points and reached high of 1286.50 points and closed with loss of 1.28%. The benchmark index lost 16.26 points and closed at 1255.80 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.1.18 Arba achieved through trade of 3,483,221 units of shares traded through 15,780 transactions trading scrips of 172 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover at Rs.9.31 Crore with LTP at Rs.1032 per share. NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 166,700 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stock stood at Rs.502 per share.

Janautthan Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JSLBB) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.96% or 142 points and closed at Rs.1567 per share. Kalika Power Company Limited (KPCL) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.25% or 10 points, closing below par at Rs.98 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.80 points and closed at 271.79 points while Float Index lost 1.21 points and closed at 89.15 points.

Only Trading sector gained 3.24 % today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Non-Life Insurance, Life Insurance and Banking were among top losers.
