Unilever profit dwindled by 21.96 % in Q1; reserves and surplus surpasses to Rs 93.68 crore

Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) has posted net profit of Rs19.47 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2072/73. According to the unaudited financial statement published by the multinational company today, its profit after tax has declined to Rs 19.47 crore from Rs 24.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year. Likewise the profit available for appropriation after calculating profit brought forward from the previous year stands at Rs 1.84 arba as compared to Rs 1.66 arba in the corresponding quarter. The company has also stated that its total expenditure reduced to Rs 83.67 crore in the first quarter from Rs 1.02 arba in the corresponding quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73. Unilever reserves and surplus surpasses to Rs 93.68 crore in the first quarter up from Rs 87.19 crore in the Q1 of previous fiscal year. UNL’s EPS has dropped to Rs 211 in Q1 from Rs 271as compared to the same period in previous year, and its net worth per share now stands at Rs 1117, up from Rs 1047. The company’s P/E ratio stands at 120.48 times up from 55.37 times in previous year.
