Underwhelming transaction of Rs 18.50 crore follows the decrease in market; Market stands at 1,210.09 points losing 9.72 points

NEPSE registered a fall of 9.72 points to end at 1,210.09 points today. The market had started at 1,219.81 points however the market lost 0.80% during the 4 hours’ trading period.

More than 5.74 lakh unit shares worth Rs 18.51 crore were traded during the day. The shares of 158 listed companies were traded through 3,219 transactions.

Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 88.96 lakh worth of shares was traded during the day. Similarly, Century Commercial Bank Limited (CCBL) stood ahead in terms of stock traded by share quantity as 32,296 unit shares of CCBL were traded.

Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC) was the top gainer of the day as the price of the share increased by 6 points and closed at Rs 116. Likewise, Jebils Finance Limited (JEFL) was the top loser for the day as the price of the stock decreased by 8 points and the LTP stood as Rs 100.

Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 2.07 and 0.77 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Hotels and Manufacturing & Production stood in the green zone. Hotels gained 2.26 points while Insurance sector lost 79.76 points at the end of the day.
