Transport minister Nembang directs road division to repair potholes along Prithivi, Tribhuvan highways

Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang has directed employees of the road division, Bharatpur to repair potholes along the Prithivi Highway and Tribhuvan Highway at the earliest. The highways link the rest of Nepal to Kathmandu, the federal capital of the country.

"Construction work can get a pace if all becomes responsible. You (employees of the road division) are capable yourselves. You should take your responsibility seriously," he said. "Questions over road construction are being raised lately. Such a point should not take place in the coming days where complaints relating to road construction come in."

The road division has been assigned to look after repairs of roads along the highways. Repairs of 82 kilometers road along the Prithivi Highway and 42 kilometers road along the Tribhuvan Highway are underway. On the occasion, the minister inspected Narayangadh-Muglin road and some sections of the Prithivi Highway and Tribhuvan Highway. Similarly at the event, chief of the road division, Krishna Raj Adihikari apprised the minister of progress details of the office.
