Total 28 transaction executed on first day of PAN implementation; PAN made compulsory for transactions of Rs 5 lakhs or above Rs 5 lakhs

The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has implemented the Compulsory PAN system in the trading of shares in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) from Baisakh 2, 2076. The small investors, however, won't require PAN Identification. The PAN Id will be required for any transactions of Rs 5 lakhs or above Rs 5 lakhs.

PAN - Permanent Account Number, is a code that acts as an identifier for individuals and companies alike. The PAN helps in tracking the source of money, which eventually promotes transparency in the market. PAN card can be taken from tax office.

There was total 28 transaction executed on Baisakh 2, 2076 which was of Rs 5 lakh and above 5 lakh. Here both the buyer and seller investors needs PAN compulsorily.
