NEPSE’s long awaited full-fledged online trading system will be in implementation within few months. However, before the real time online trading starts, NEPSE has decided to implement the testing phase for the full-fledged online trading experience. NEPSE published a press release to inform all the ordinary investors, regulatory body, broker houses, stock dealers, employees along with all the concerned authority about the upcoming full-fledged online trading system.
The press release has assured the testing of the Computerized Trading System (CTS) and NEPSE Online Trading System, NOTS will initiate as per the predetermined schedule i.e. 1st Shrawan, 2075 (tomorrow).
The stock brokers which will prepare infrastructures for full-fledged online trading from Shrawan 1st will use cloud based hosting and install Trade Management System (TMS). NEPSE has decided to involve investors along with stock brokers while undertaking the testing process of online trading system. For this, the investors will receive username and password from the broker house where investors have been carrying out their trading/investment activity. In order to recive the username and password, the investors need to update their KYC form along with their email address and mobile numbers. The investors will have access to online trading in testing process through the provided username and password. However, since this is simply a testing process, so, investors will be able to see the details of matching traded shares only from the Computerized Trading System installed by the broker office.
Before formal initiation of the Fully Automated Online Trading System, a third party has been selected for the User Acceptance Test (UAT). The third party will further check upon whether the online trading system has been implemented as per the technical specification and System Requirement Specification (SRS) or not. The third party will also provide ISO certificate if the system is as per standard. After the third party confirms that NEPSE’s online trading is effective enough to be formally initiated, then only NEPSE Online Trading/Trade Management will be implemented in real time.
NEPSE believes this step will be a milestone to the capital market of the country as the transaction will continuously increase in the near future. NEPSE further expects to receive constructive feedbacks from the concerned authority which will be accommodated in NEPSE Online Trading System if feasible.
