Three Companies Hit the Negative Circuit; Market tumbles by 16.69 Points to close at 1,163.94 points

On the first trading day of the week, NEPSE saw a fall of massive 16.69 points and closed at 1163.94. It had opened at 1180.63 points and was in the downfall from morning which didn’t stop until the market closed, losing 1.41%.
Though the market was falling, the turnover stood at Rs.25.02 Crore which is more than that of most trading days. This was achieved through trade of 781,560 shares from 4,176 transactions.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited had the highest turnover of Rs.3.71 Crore but was also amongst the top 10 losers losing 57 points. NLIC also had highest number of shares traded and number of transactions with 40,611 scrips from 487 transactions.
Arambha Microfinance Bittiya Sansthan Ltd. (AMFI) was the top gainer after gaining 28 points followed by Salt Trading Corporation (STC) gaining 10 points.
The top losers today were Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) and Support Microfinance Bittiya Sansthan Ltd. (SMB) after losing 25 points and 114 points respectively.
Both the Sensitive and Float index fell by 3.43 and 1.26 points closing at 245.70 and 83.52 respectively.
Today’s fall is the courtesy of fall in all the sub-indices except for Trading and Hotels sub index; attributed from a fall of 193.37 points in the Life Insurance sun index and fall of 105.74 points in the Non-Life Insurance sub index.
