The NEPSE index closed in a green zone however the newly listed Rairang Hydropower lost hugely by more than 9.8%

Market today had opened at 1179.71 points and was bullish in the first 30 minutes then it turned bearish and lose around 6 points in next 40 minutes and reach the intra-day low at 1174.65 points.  From 12 noon to 1 pm the NEPSE index consolidated near the intraday low and then in the next one and half hours the index turned bullish and reach the intraday high at 1182.87 points, then in last 30 minutes index lose couple of points and closed at 1180.36 with the mere gain of 0.65 points (0.06%).

During the trading hours the NEPSE index had witnessed a large fluctuation.The total turnover of the day stands at Rs 21.81 crore as more than 9.15 lakhs unit of shares were traded through 3,365 transaction.

Siddhartha Bank Limited Promoter Share (SBLPO) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.31 crore worth shares were traded during the day.

Again, Siddhartha Bank Limited Promoter Share (SBLPO) had topped in the case of number of shares traded. More than 1.18 lakhs unit of SBLPO shares were exchanged throughout the trading hours.

Laxmi Bikas Bank's (LBL) stock price had gained 12 points and close at Rs 260. LBL was the top gainer of the day whose price had increased by 4.84%.

Top loser of the day was the newly listed Rairang Hydropower whose price had decreased by more than 9.8% and closed at Rs 183.

Sub-indices of the Development Bank, Hydro Power, Finance and Microfinance had slanted down and closed in red zone. The sub-indices for the remaining sector increased and closed in green zone.

Hydropower sector was the top loser with 1.14% decrement (16.47 points) and Manufacturing & production sector was the top gainer with 0.68% (15.44 points) increment.
