STOCK WATCH: Last day to clinch first-time offer of Ekata’s 11.58% cash dividend after IPO

As the book closure date is to begin from tomorrow, today is the last day for the investors to clinch 11.58 percent cash dividend (including tax) of Ekata Development Bank Ltd.

The dividend is the first return to its shareholders since it went into public this year.

According to a notice of Rupandehi-based development bank, it is closing its shareholder record book from Tuesday for the purpose of holding its 3rd AGM. The AGM of the bank is slated to be held on Kartik 29 at Butwal.

The AGM is scheduled to approve proposed 11.58 percent dividend to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year 2070/71.

The bank had floatedt he IPO worth Rs 8 crore floated on June 4 this year, which was oversubscribed by 15.306 times by the time the issue closed on June 9.

The Bank had earned Rs 1.2 crore as net profit in the last fiscal year 2070/71, up from Rs 1.11 crore in the previous fiscal year 2069/70.

The development bank is in operation from May 15, 2011, since then it has always generated profits.

Currently development bank headquartered in Butwal has six branches in three districts- Dang, Kapilvastu and Rupandehi.
