Stock Market surges by double digit; Index rises by 10.40 points with turnover of Rs 88.70 crore

On the first trading day of the week, Nepal stock market closed with gain today. The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 10.40 points or 0.59% to close at 1763.78 points.
Nepse Index opened at 1753.48 points and was seen in upward trend.
150,000 unit shares of Yeti Development Bank Promoter Shares (YETIPO), 107,169 unit shares of Sunrise Bank Limited (SRBL) and 77,897 unit shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) were traded more today.
Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini Limited (BOKL), Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited (JBBL) and Kumari Bank Limited hit circuit break today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 88.70 crore, where more than 10.24 lakh units shares were traded through 4,399 transactions.
Sensitive index and float index went up by 2.47 and 0.78 points respectively.
Except Development Banks, Hotels and Hydropower sectors, all sectors at Nepse landed on green. Insurance sector rises by 237.01 points.
