Stock Market surges 30.23 points to close at 1443.38, NLIC drives insurance sector growth by 286 points

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has increased with 30.23 points or 2.14% to close trading at 1443.38. Today, Nepse Index opened at 1413.13 points and after that it was seen in upward trend. 164,705 units of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) and 102,000 unit shares of Laxmi Value Fund-1 were traded the most today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 56.64 crore where more than 10.56 lakh units shares were traded through 4,288 transactions. 29,670 units of NB Insurance were traded through a single transaction amounting to over Rs. 1.85 crore. All sectors have landed in green after the market closed today. Nepal Life Insurance’s price had jumped to 9% in the second trading hour after the news of its FPO was announced. Everest Insurance and United Insurance hit positive circuit today. The entire insurance sector increased by 286.68 points. Sensitive and float index went up by 6.7 and 2.26 points respectively.
