Stock Market rises by double digit; Index increases by 13.98 points with turnover of Rs 49.39 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) went up by 13.98 points or 0.92% to close at 1530.06 points. Today Nepse Index opened at 1516.08 points and the local bourse went down to 1515.12 points in the second trading hour of the day. After that, index was seen in upward trend. 44,117 unit shares of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) and 39,417 unit shares of Nabil Balanced fund 1 (NBF1) were traded the most today. Summit Microfinance Development Bank Limited (SMFDB), Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) and Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited (SKDBL) hit positive circuit today. Everest Bank Limited and Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited had the highest turnover of Rs 8.30 crore and Rs 2.25 crore respectively. The number of transactions of EBL and MBL reached 308 and 236. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 49.39 crore where more than 6.68 lakh units shares were traded through 3,683 transactions. Sensitive and float index went up by 2.85 points and 1.11 points respectively. Except Manufacturing & Production and others, all sectors at Nepse landed in green.
