Stock market rises by 9.91 points after 3 consecutive trading days fall; Turnover above Rs 77.18 crore

  The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged by 9.91 points or 0.64% to close at 1554.51 points. Nepse Index opened at 1544.49 points today, the local bourse seen fluctuating throughout the day and at the third trading hour of the day was seen in upward trend. 84,841units shares of Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) and 83,786 unit shares of First Microfinance Development Bank Promoter Shares (FMDBLP) were traded most today. Arun Finance Limited (ARUN) hit circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 77.18 crore where more than 9.40 lakh units’ shares were traded through 5,007 transactions. Sensitive and float index went down by 2.38 and 0.67 points respectively. Except Hydropower, all the sub-indices landed in green today.  Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 177.98 points followed by hotels.
