Stock Market falls down to 16-days low to 1470.63 today; Index lost 25.36 points with minimal turnover above Rs 48.12 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has plunged by 25.36 points or 1.70% to close at 1,470.63 points today. Last time it was at this level on November 27, 2016 when it closed on 1469.48 with a massive 4.2% fall. Nepse Index opened at 1495.99 points today and the local bourse was seen in a downward trend. 59,493 units shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) and 40,645 units shares of NMB Bank Limited (NMB) were traded the most today. Tomorrow is the book closure for NMB’s AGM. Nagbeli Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NBBL) and NB Insurance Company Limited (NBIL) hit positive circuit break today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 48.12 crore where more than 6.96 lakh units shares were traded through 4,422 transactions. Sensitive index and float index decreased by 5.84 and 1.86 points respectively.
