Stock Market closes positively with 0.31 points on last trading day; Turnover above Rs 70.80 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged by 0.31 points or 0.02% to close at 1697.17 points. Today NEPSE index opened at 1697.39 points, the local bourse went down to 1689.29 points during the third trading hour of the day and after that it was seen in upward trend. 129,113 unit share of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) and 118,158 unit shares of Vibor Society Development Bank Limited (VSDBL) were traded most today The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 70.80 crore where more than 10.65 lakh units’ shares were traded through 5,084 transactions. Sensitive and float index went up by 0.06 and 0.01 points respectively. Except Banking, Hotels and Others, all trading groups landed in red. Hotels sector rose by 31.01 points. Sub-indices of Development Banks ,Hydropower, Insurance  and Finance group dipped by 9.88  points, 0.28 points, 5.76 and 36.42 points respectively,
