State-2 unveils budget of Rs 33.56 bln

The State-2 government has presented a budget of Rs 33.56 billion for the fiscal year 2020/21. Economic Affairs and Planning Minister of the State Bijay Kumar Yadav unveiled the budget in the state assembly meeting today.

Of the total budget, Rs. 45.95 billion has been allocated towards current expenditure, 53.67 per cent is allocated towards capital, and 0.48 towards fiscal management.

The budget has expected to manage Rs 12.24 billion from internal sources, Rs 13.40 to be received from federal government and Rs 6.91 billion from cash balance in the State coffer.

The government has allocated Rs 2.35 billion towards electoral constituency development programme while Rs 50 million each to towards disaster management and malnutrition reduction programmes. Similarly, it has continued educate girl child programme. It has continued previous programmes in different sectors.
