Standard Chartered reports 2.64% fall in loans and advances; Net profit till Q1 2076/77 at Rs 64.41 crore

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) has reported a 6.29% growth in net profit in the first quarter of FY 2076/77. The bank’s profit has increased from Rs 60.59 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2075/76 to Rs 64.41 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2076/77.

The bank’s deposit rises by 0.17% to Rs 75.86 arba whereas loans and advances have decreased by 2.64% to Rs 51.68 arba till the first quarter. The net interest income (core business income) of the bank has also increased by 10.82% to Rs 93.35 crore from Rs 84.23 crore of the corresponding quarter.

The bank’s paid up capital stands at Rs 8.01 arba with Rs 5.10 arba as its reserve. The Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and base rate stands at low of 0.18% and 7.63% respectively.

In the first quarter, the annualized EPS of the bank stands at Rs 32.16. The net worth per share stands at Rs 194.18 and qtr end PE ratio stands at 17.82 times.

The capital adequacy of the bank stands as high of 19.44%.
