Standard Chartered Bank’s 30th AGM today; endorsing 33.33% bonus share; to endorse FPO worth Rs 330 crore

Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) is holding its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today (Mangsir 30, 2073). The meeting is being held at the Army Officers Club, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu at 1:30 PM. The main agendas of the meeting are:
  • To endorse 33.33 percent bonus share and 1.75 cash dividend for tax purpose from the net profit it earned from the fiscal year 2072/73.
  • To float FPO worth Rs 330 crore after the adjustment of bonus share.
  • To increase its authorized capital up to Rs 8 arba.
  • To amend article of association and memorandum of association as per directed by registrar officer or Nepal Rastra Bank.
Other agendas of the AGM include financial highlights of the FY 2072/73 and appointment of auditor. The register of shareholders was closed from Mangsir 22, 2073 to Mangsir 30, 2073 for the purpose of AGM. Only the shares registered one day ahead of the book closure date i.e. Mangsir 21, 2073 were eligible for the bonus shares. SCB has earned net profit of Rs 34.94 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2073/74 as per unaudited report. It has paid up capital of Rs 2.81 arba. After distribution of 33.33 percent bonus share its paid up capital will reach Rs 3.74 arba. Please click here for previous news
