Standard Chartered Bank 29th AGM on Jestha 21; Book closure on Baisakh 18

Standard Chartered Bank Limited will be holding its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Jestha 21, 2073. The bank has announced the book closure date for the same The register of their shareholders will remain close from Baisakh 17, 2072 till Jestha 21, 2073 for the purpose of its upcoming AGM. Only those shareholders owning shares till Baisakh 16 is entitled to the dividend of the company. The BOD Meeting of the company held on Falgun 10 had proposed 25 percent bonus share and 19.21 percent cash dividend including for tax purpose to its shareholders from the net profit it earned in the last fiscal year 2071/72.  The decision is subject to approval from the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Presently the paid up capital of SCB stands at Rs 2.24 arba, after 25% stock dividend it will reach Rs 2.8 arba. Earlier, the 337th BOD Meeting of the Standard Chartered Bank Ltd., held on Mangsir 21, 2072 had proposed distribution of 15% Stock Dividend and 27.11% Cash Dividend to their Shareholders. As it failed to gain approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank, SCB was forced to revise its proposed dividend to 25% stock and 19.21% cash dividend.
