Siddhartha Bank opens four new branches and relocates its Gatthaghar Branch; branch network reaches 86

As mandated by Nepal Rastra Bank for commercial banks to open branches in different locations of the country where access to banking services is not available, Siddhartha Bank has established four new branches at Gadhi of Sunsari, Roshi of Kavre, Marchawari of Rupandehi and Devghat of Tanahun . The branch came into operation from January 21, 2018. SBL photo Issuing the press statement, the bank informs that the recently opened branches, in accordance with the policy of Nepal Government and Nepal Rastra Bank, will manage the accounts and financial transactions of local government. Likewise, the branches shall offer a wide array of banking products and services, which will benefit a large number of customers residing in and near Gadhi, Roshi, Marchawari and Devghat. The Bank is opening 10 additional such rural branches in the near future. Beside the opening of new branches, the Bank has also relocated its Gatthaghar Branch to a nearby building in Gatthaghar which has adequate parking facilities and modern infrastructures. The branch was relocated onMagh 7, 2074 with the aim of providing convenient banking services to the customers. The branch relocation program was inaugurated by Mr. Shambhu Nath Gautam, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. With the opening of these branches, the Bank’s network throughout the country reaches 86 branches, 3 extension counters, 105 ATMs, 99 branchless banking locations and more than 650 POS machines. As per the unaudited financial results as at Poush of fiscal year 2074/75, the Bank has recorded a deposit portfolio of Rs. 85.57 billion and a loan portfolio of Rs. 76.95 billion.
