SGM drama of National Hydro continues: SGM on Chaitra 08, Will it really happen ?; No dividend this year

National Hydro Power Co. Ltd. (NHPC) has scheduled its postponed Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held on Chaitra 08, 2072 2072 at 11 am at Naxal Banquet, Narayanchaur, Kathmandu.
Earlier the company had planned to hold SGM on Falgun 28, 2072. The company announced on Friday Falgun 14 that its SGM scheduled for Falgun 28 has been postponed. The BOD of the company had decided on Falgun 13, 2072 to postpone SGM to Chaitra 08. However, they did not publish notice stating the exact date of the SGM on their postponment notice on Friday. Publishing different notice on same issue on consecutive business days has pointed credibility issue of this troubled company.
The agendas of the meeting are as follows:
- To present report by chairman on behalf of BoD
- Regarding report submitted by the Investigative Committee formed by the AGM held on 2069/10/26
- To appoint auditor to audit financial report of fiscal year from 2066/67 to fiscal year 2071/72
- To amend article of association and memorandum of association
- Miscellaneous
No dividends has been proposed for discussion in the SGM. The book closure date has been set for Falgun 23, 2072 for SGM. The register of shareholders will remain close from Falgun 23 to Chaitra 08, 2072 for SGM.
