SEBON persuades Citizen Investment Trust to work as market maker/securities dealer of Capital market of Nepal

For the institutional development of the capital market in Annual Budget of FY 2072/73, Nepal Government has put forth the provision to make Citizen Investment Trust as the market maker/ securities dealer. As per the press release published today, For the effective implementation of the annual program of Nepal Government, Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has recruited Citizen Investment Trust as market maker / securities dealer to make secondary market of Nepal more effective and systematic. The trust has formed a BoD inclusive of representative from Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication, Communication Officer of Nepal Stock Exchange, Head of Citizen Investment Trust, Communication Department and Secretary of SEBON under Securities Business person  (Stock Broker, Dealer and Market Maker) Regulation, 2064 to present necessary recommendations within a month  for an appropriate provision. The provision is aimed to find out the loopholes of the current software system. The trust will work as institutional investor and securities dealer to maintain stability and trust ability in the share market of Nepal.
